THE FIGHT FOR LIFE
Another Canadian is diagnosed with cancer every three minutes. It's a devastating disease that affects all of us.
Progress in the fight for lifeThanks to your support in 2012-13, we made progress in the fight, just as we have every year since the Canadian Cancer Society formed in 1938. As you read through our Progress Report 2012-13, you'll see how your generous contributions of time and money made a significant impact in the fight.
Whether you're a longtime supporter, or a new member of the Society's team, you are making a difference. Thanks to people like you, cancer survival rates have more than doubled. We know more about cancer – what causes it, how it develops, how to better treat and beat it. And we're continually improving the quality of life of cancer patients, survivors, their families and caregivers.
But more still needs to be done. That's why we hope the progress outlined in this report will inspire you to keep fighting back. Join us in the fight for life in 2013 and help the Canadian Cancer Society marks its 75th anniversary. Your contributions will help better prevent cancer, save more lives, and increase support for people living with the disease.
